We're finishing work on new episodes of The Way
Work on Stations II and IV of our series The Way is nearing completion. We'll soon be able to show them for the first time. Meanwhile, we'd like to share some sneak peeks from the upcoming episodes and invite you to watch a clip from Station II.
The Second Station is the moment when Christ takes the cross upon His shoulders and sets out for Golgotha. This specific moment has rarely been depicted in art. Instead the journey itself was commonly depicted - Christ was usually shown already carrying the cross. Often elements from other Stations of the Cross were interwoven into these scenes, combining several events into a single scene. For the Second Station, we will show you, among other things, the famous sculpture standing in front of the Holy Cross Church on Krakowskie Przedmieście in Warsaw and a late medieval engraving.
We will illustrate the meeting of Christ and His Mother - the Fourth Station -  through the works of an exceptional artistic dynasty from the 19th and 20th centuries – the Windhausen family. This family, based in Germany and the Netherlands, specialized in depictions of the Stations of the Cross.
The premiere of both stations is coming soon. We invite you to watch a short excerpt from Second Station.
